Kamehameha has selected Kahi Kaanoi to run the varsity baseball program on an interim basis. Kaanoi, a Kamehameha alum, was a seventh-round draft pick by the Kansas City Royals in the 2000 MLB draft. Kamehameha has let go of all of its coaches on the varsity and junior varsity baseball teams, Hawaii Prep World has learned. The move comes with preseason tournaments beginning next month for the varsity team, which had planned a trip to California. That trip will no longer be made.
