Baldwin was a surprise to an extent, a mystery team of sorts with some talented returnees. A win over then-No. 2 Farrington vaulted the Bears to the final of the Punahou Invitational — and a matchup with No. 1 Punahou. Even with a missing starter, Baldwin was right there with the Buffanblu and had the home team on the ropes.
