This was a two-point game in the first half, but the Kamehameha Warriors have been on a shooting tear since against the Moanalua Na Menehune.
It’s always a bit more interesting when friends, especially a former assistant coach (Byron Mello of Moanalua) faces his former head coach (Greg Tacon). In many aspects, these are mirror images in their sets, defensive (man to man) philosophy and maybe even terminology.
While Moanalua has stuck with basic man defense, Kamehameha has mixed in some 2-1-2 three-quarter pressure that has been effective enough at slowing the Menehune.
