Saint Louis broke an 8-all tie with a 14-0 run, triggered mainly by a 1-2-2 halfcourt trap with super-quick Isaac Slade-Matautia on top. 22-8 after one quarter.

SECOND QUARTER
Domination by the Crusaders. Chris Sykes and Tristan Nichols complementing each other nicely. Nichols sat most of the quarter and other players like Lance Satakaka picked up the slack.

HALFTIME
Nichols has 19 points and seven points. Slade-Matautia was the spark with those midcourt steals, a one-man press. Campbell has committed 18 turnovers against essentially an extended halfcourt 1-2-2 zone.

THIRD QUARTER
Silva has his reserves in for most of the quarter. Turnovers a major issue for the Sabers.

FINAL
Nichols finishes with 28 points and eight boards in just 2-plus quarters of action. Slade-Matautia dominated defensively even though he barely played half the game. He had 3 points, two rebounds, four assists and four steals. The numbers don’t tell the whole story.
