8:08 p.m. Kalaheo upset No. 1 Kamehameha 48-45 behind 22 points by Josh Ko and 17 from center Nainoa Frank. Dyrbe Enos led Kamehameha with 21 points.

St. Francis overwhelmed Chestermere (Canada) 72-47. Keoni Tom-Millare had 17 points, Matt Nuumanaia 16, Austin Ursua 14 and point guard Sabir Lynton 10 for the Saints. Chris Hendry (15) and Jasdeep Gill (14) led the Lakers.


Also in an earlier game, Kahuku routed Brentwood (Canada) 65-34. Kawehena Johnson led the Red Raiders with 12 points. Jon Courville had eight points for Brentwood.

5:26 p.m. Halftime: No. 1 Kamehameha 21, Kalaheo 21.

4:57 p.m. More opening-round scores: Saint Louis 45, Kailua 31 — Kamalei Correa led a balanced attack with 11 points. Mason Youart led the Surfriders with 13.

Kamehameha II 55, Damien 50 — Trent Parker scored 11 points and Brandon Akiona had 10 for the Warriors. Ashton Obrero and Eli Leslie led Damien with 10 each.

4:10 p.m. Opening-round results:

Kamehameha-Hawaii 49, Mission Prep 48, OT

Kaeo Alapai sank a free throw in sudden-death overtime as the Warriors completed a comeback victory.

Lanaki Apele led the Warriors with 20 points and Alapai finished with nine points and six rebounds. Connor Woolpert led Mission Prep with 19 points. Zach Allmon added 10 points and a team-high 11 boards.

Apele sparked the rally after KS-Hawaii fell behind by 10 points, scoring eight in a row. He also hit a short jumper in the lane to tie the game and send it into overtime.

Mission Prep won the tip to start overtime, but turned the ball over. KS-Hawaii held the ball for 2 minutes before Apele drove and bounced a pass to Alapai in the low post, where he was fouled.

Science Hill (Tenn.) 73, No. 8 Farrington 38

C.J. Good’s 20 points led the visitors. Zach Howard aded 14 points and Will Adams tallied 10. Mikey Kleman had 12 points for the Governors. Viane Vaina had a game-high 13 rebounds.


Amador Valley 39, Leilehua 38

Shaun Hogan led Amador with 10 points. Cody Halvorson scored eight to pace Leilehua.

Also, Kahuku defeated Brentwood (British Columbia, Canada). Waiting on that boxscore.

Paige Crozon scored 18 points and Lindsey Larson had 11 to lead the Mohawks.

Salote Lopes-Liutolo had 12 to pace the Panthers.

 

Radford 69, Christian Academy 33

Kennedy Johnson’s 19 points led the Rams, who had a 39-19 halftime lead. Brittany Perry added 10 points.


Leslie Ortiz-Cruz had 20 points for the Patriots.
