Quick thoughts: The top 8 here are still very interesting. Any of the 8 could beat the other. Punahou evolved over time and became the best team in the state. They were a machine, yet played with heart.

Big question mark about Seabury Hall, though my MIL informant tells me they are solid. And susceptible to guard-heavy teams.
Again, I think ‘Iolani is a worthy No. 1 seed in this week’s state tourney. I just feel Farrington’s ability to play slow or fast, big or small, gives them a slight edge on my ballot. And yes, Kohala earned its way to the 8 spot by beating ranked foes (Konawaena, HPA). If HPA has Kalen Camero (concussion) back at the point, Ka Makani could make a run to the D-II final. Without him, big issues — though BIIF watchers say this is a deep Ka Makani team.
More later. Let the snowballs fly.
