Cannen Chiu‘s 3-pointer in the final seconds to stun Kahuku on Wednesday gave Kalaheo an OIA title and the No. 2 seed in the Snapple/HHSAA Boys Basketball State Championships that begin Monday.
Maryknoll (11-2) is the top overall seed, followed by the Mustangs (10-3), Lahainaluna (13-0) and Kamehameha-Hawaii (15-0).
OIA runner-up Kahuku hosts Kailua and ILH runner-up Punahou will receive a visit from McKinley in Monday’s first round. Moanalua will travel to Konawaena and Kapolei will head to Kamehameha-Maui in the other first-round games.
