Maryknoll Community Center opens!

After years in the making — or planning — Maryknoll School finally has a gym of its own.

At a cost of $21 million, according to athletic director Pattie Heatherly, the Maryknoll Community Center serves several purposes. The girls volleyball team will be the first athletic squad to use the facility for a league event when they play tomorrow.

The school had dreamed about a gym for decades, going back to the era of boys basketball glory under former coach Tony Sellitto.

Congratulations, Spartans!
