Leilehua outlastd Moanalua, 61-50, and ‘Iolani stifled Roosevelt, 43-29, to remain unbeaten at the James Alegre Invitational boys basketball tournament on Thursday.
The two teams are tied in the Star-Advertiser Top 10 at No. 7. However, they are not scheduled to meet in the annual event. ‘Iolani plays Western Christian (Ore.) on Friday, then upstart Lahainaluna on Saturday. Leilehua does not play on Friday. The Mules will play Western Christian on Saturday.
They aren’t the only teams with unbeaten records in the tournament. No. 3 Mililani has beaten Lahainaluna, and will play Moanalua on Thursday night.
