Kaiser jumps to No. 2 in boys hoops poll

Kaiser moved up to No. 2 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Boys Basketball Top 10.

The Cougars also received five first-place votes and jumped ahead of Punahou, which fell to No. 3. ‘Iolani stayed at No. 1.

In the girls poll, No. 1 Konawaena — coming off an ‘Iolani Classic championship — received all 20 first-place votes. The top six teams remained the same.

    KS Hawaii beat Konawaena and are undefeated right now. They have size and speed and experience with two four year varsity starters and one three varsity starter. They are solid ten deep and should make some noise. Can’t believe they’re not mentioned.

    This is who Kamehameha-Hawaii has beaten so far. It’s not like they have beaten Iolani, Kaiser, or Punahou. I can believe they are not mentioned. Maybe when they are 10-0 and have some wins over top teams then it might change.
