Girls


Lia Galdeira, Konawaena basketball: In three games at the ‘Iolani Classic, the senior scored 63 points on 24-for-44 field-goal shooting, 12-for-15 free-throw shooting, and had 28 rebounds, 15 steals, six assists and a block. Konawaena upset Brea Olinda (Calif.), the 11th-ranked team in the USA Today Super 25, in the final.

Boys

Nick Velasquez, Punahou basketball: scored 21 points and the go-ahead 3-point bomb against Farrington, then scored a team-high 13 against AOP as Punahou won the Noh Foods AOP Classic championship.
