HBA replaces Coronado at Punahou Invitational

Coronado (Colo.) has dropped out of the Punahou Invitational boys basketball tournament, which tips off on Wednesday morning at Hemmeter Fieldhouse.

Hawaii Baptist, an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II program, will replace Coronado. Three games on the opening-day schedule have been affected. St. Francis will take Coronado’s spot and will play Mid-Pacific in a 12:30 p.m. matchup.

Sequim (Wash.) moves to the 5 p.m. slot and will now play Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.).


Hawaii Baptist (12-2), which is on a seven-game win streak, will play South Anchorage (Alaska) at 6:30 p.m.

>> Game 4: Sequoia (Redwood City, Calif.) vs. Kamehameha-Hawaii, 2 p.m.
>> Game 5: Leigh (San Jose, Calif.) vs. Kamehameha II, 3:30 p.m.
>> Game 6: Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) vs. Sequim (Wash.), 5 p.m.
>> Game 7: Hawaii Baptist vs. South Anchorage (Anchorage, Alaska), 6:30 p.m.
