Arcata was within two points with 20 seconds left, but got no closer.
Taylor Crabb hit three treys in the first half to spark the Buffanblu to the tournament title. Crabb, who won the slam-dunk competition earlier in the night, finished with 15 points to lead Punahou.
Malik Johnson had 10 points (5-for-7) and James Duncan added nine points as Punahou packed its zone into the paint and won despite being outrebounded 47-21.
Conor Byrne led Arcata with 14 points and Jordan Semple had 11 points and eight boards before fouling out. The Tigers shot just 29 percent from the field (14-for-48) and 59 percent from the foul line (10-for-17).
Crabb, a 6-foot-2 senior, won the dunk contest with a lob that bounced up to the front of the rim, where he executed a 360 slam. It was the same dunk done by Brandon Peters of Yates in the ‘Iolani Classic dunk contest last week.

Aaron Fernandez led the Mustangs with 16 points. He shot 11-for-14 from the line, but just 2-for-15 from the field, including 1-for-8 from the arc. Kona Makaula added 15 points (7-for-12) before fouling out.
The Mustangs shot just 30 percent from the floor (11-for-37), but made 15 of 21 tries from the line.
