Baldwin captures MIL baseball title

Michael Hooper struck out four batters and pitched a two-hitter in 4-0 shutout of Maui in the MIL baseball overall championship game Wednesday at Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.


Nawai An Yen went 3-for-3 with a triple and he scored twice to lead the Bears to the win that clinched a seeded berth in the upcoming state tournament.


The Sabers’ Parker Maxwell took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits in five innings.
