Mililani running back Vavae Malepeai told OregonLive.com that he is “50-50” on committing to Oregon.

Malepeai, who helped the Trojans to the Division I state championship a year ago, is scheduled to visit the Oregon campus this weekend.

The 6-foot, 190-pound senior-to-be is a Honolulu Star-Advertiser two-time first-team All-State selection.

Malepeai rushed for more than 1,000 yards the past two seasons, and he scored 23 touchdowns as a junior.

Eighteen FBS Division I schools have offered Malepeai a scholarship, including Cal, Michigan, Nebraska, Stanford, UCLA and USC.
