HISTORY: Farrington has never beaten Nanakuli in the Prep Bowl and state championship eras. The Golden Hawks lead the series 3-0-1 with the last meeting a 7-7 tie in 1985.

Updates to follow:

8:21 p.m.: Banks and Morgan connect again for a 76 yard touchdown with 33 seconds left. Farrington doesn’t even take the field after recovering an onside kick. 69-21 final

8:14 p.m.: Farrington has been running the ball and face 4th down at the Nanakuli 1 with 2:03 left. Golden Hawks call timeout. Alualu punches it in on fourth, why didn’t they kick? 1:57 left, Umaga PAT is good. That’s a school record for points in a game for Farrington.

8:08 p.m.: Nanakuli goes 3 and out and punt to the Farrington 17. 8:59 and ticking…

8:05 pm.: Nanakuli won the third quarter 7-6, so that’s a positive…

8:03 p.m.: 75 yard TD rush by William Rodrigues. That’s just mean. Alualu PAT good, 62-14, 11:39. One point off the school record for points in a game.

8:00 p.m.: Reginald Faamatau has taken some carries for Farrington. End of 3: 55-14

Alualu PAT no good. 55-7, 9:09 left

7:42 p.m.: Nanakuli kicks off to start 2H, Farrington to start from its own 43. and the clock is ticking… Freedom Alualu in at RB. Faamatau not in there. Day could be done.

7:20 p.m.: Nanakuli takes a knee. Halftime: Farrington 49, Nanakuli 7. Running clock to begin the third.

7:13 p.m.: Farrington driving. 1st down on the Nanakuli 13 and they call time with 0:28 left. Rapoza scans and can’t find any open receivers but it doesn’t matter. He scrambles for a 12 yard TD. Alualu PAT is good. 49-7, 20 seconds left in first half.

7:07 p.m.:
What a coincidence. Banks throws it to Morgan, and it looks like a WR screen but Morgan throws a 30 yard TD pass to Shandon La’a. Nice play. Anthony Booker PAT is good. 42-7, 1:54. Farrington to start from own 38 with 1:47 left.

7:04 p.m.: Banks has been moving the ball well since coming it at QB for the Golden Hawks. 3-4, 43 yards
Morgan was 4-11, 38 before heading over to WR. Neither have thrown a pick, however.

7:02 p.m.: Uahinui is picked off by Sean Souza, his first real mistake of the game. Goldden Hawks taking over on own 35

6:56 p.m.: Farrington hasn’t kicked deep in a while. Squib is returned to NAN 47. Nainoa Banks in at QB for Nanakuli. Chyson Morgan lines up at WR. Looked elusive on some scrambles. Nanakuli tries a fake punt and fails. Farr taking over at own 41.

6:53 p.m.: THERE GOES THAT MAN! You guessed it, next play from scrimmage is a 60 yard TD rush by Faamatau. Freedom Alaulau PAT good. 42-0, 5:11 left in the half. Unreal acceleration by Faamatau on that one. He straight up zoomed past 3 defenders in front of him.

6:50 p.m.: Farrington squibs it to the Nanakuli 35. Nanakuli got a first down then turns it over on downs at the Farrington 40.

6:48 p.m.: Uahinui tosses a 5 yard TD pass to Kingsley Moses-Sanchez. 7:26 left, PAT is no good but it is still in mercy rule territory. Uahinui up to 7-8, 150, 2 TD

6:45 p.m.:
Farrington driving again. 1st and goal on Nan 6. Tanielu (Mosi) Alaivanu-Afe is down but it looks like just a stinger.

6:40 p.m.: Nice return by Nanakuli. Starting on Farr 40. … Now 4th and 8 from 38, pass is caught but looks like it was trapped and it was. Ruled incomplete.

6:35 p.m.:
Faamatau with a 19 yard rushing td, 10:41 left. PAT by Umaga is off the left upright, 29-0. Faamatau: 7-63, 2 TD rushing, Receiving: 2-53, TD

6:23 p.m.: Rapoza’s turn to show off his arm. Throws a PERFECT deep ball to Kingston Moses-Sanchez for an 86 yard TD. 2 point conversion good, rush by Blessing Umaga. 23-0, 2:38. Moses-Sanchez so far: Three receptions for 143 yards and a TD. School record is 234 by Elijah Lesu against Moanalua in 2006, Moses-Sanchez needs 10 more yards to climb into the single-game top 10. He is already on that list twice.

6:18 p.m.: Farrington defense absolutely suffocates Nanakuli on a three and out. Stuffed RB Shandon La’a for a loss of 3, then sack QB Chyson Morgan twice. Tanu (TJ) Tautolo muffs a punt at around his own 30, picks it up and takes it to the house with some great blocking upfield. Wait. That blocking might have been too good
three flags on the field. Refs still talking. Farrington flagged for block in the back as well as unsportsmanlike conduct. Starting from own 14

6:16 p.m.: Farrington tries a surprise onside kick. Not very well executed. Ball was flat and Nanakuli recovers on its own 49.

6:13 p.m.: There goes Challen Faamatau! 47 yard receiving TD from Justin Uahinui. 2-point conversion good, a rush by Ryota Kony. 15-0, 4:16. Hot start for Uahinui. 4-4, 110 yards. Farrington not just going with him, though. Bishop Rapoza has taken snaps under center as well, but he’s 0-for-1 so far.

6:09 p.m.: Nanakuli put itself in 2nd and long and can’t get the yards back. They punt and Farrington to start from own 35. 6:31. Because of a holding call. Govs to start from 25 after a penalty.

6:04 p.m.: Farrington’s first play from scrimmage is a 42 yard pass from Justin Uahinui to Kingston Moses-Sanchez. After that, Challen Faamatau rushes three times, the last one a 9 yard touchdown. Blessing Umaga PAT good.
Farrington 7, Nanakuli 0. 8:13 left

5:58 p.m.:
Nanakuli gets a first down on a 13 yard rush by Anthony Booker but not much after that. They punt and Farrington starts from its own 38

5:54 p.m.: Nanakuli to start from own 28. Shandon La’a throws an incomplete pass to begin the game and there’s an offensive lineman down for Nanakuli. It’s Edward Gomes-Nauka, who limped back to the sideline.

5:30 p.m.: Farrington wins JV game 38-7. Touching tribute to teammate Wesley Sula before the varsity contest. Sula would have been a senior, he died in April.
