Radford takes it back

The Radford cheerleading squad regained the OIA championship it lost to Mililani last year, beating the Trojans at the league’s title competition on Saturday at Kalani.

The Rams, who won four straight OIA titles from 2006-2009, scored 348.5 to outlast Moanlua (347) and Kaiser (305). Those three will join Mililani, Castle, Pearl City, Kailua, McKinley and Leilehua at Saturday’s state championships at the Blaisdell Arena.

Radford, the defending state champion, has walked out of the last competition of the year with a first-place trophy in each of the last seven years.
