Now they after volleyball, softball, track and field and soccer too. Easy to pick out the football recruits: Tongans and Samoans. Usually Samoans aren’t traditional students at St Louis, Iolani and Punahou. Families are recent arrivals in the islands, not long enough to have established ties in the community to make the community connections to land the good paying jobs like stevedore and Pearl Harbor shipyard so they can then afford private school tuition. Baseball recruits much more difficult to pick out.
