Right Field, I wouldn’t argue against Lahainaluna being No. 3 or so. But they did lose to Hilo. As long as Maryknoll, Roosevelt and ‘Iolani are unbeaten locally, I’ll probably vote them ahead of the Lady Lunas. We’ll see. I’m sure someone out there will lobby for Punahou ahead of everybody since they’re the defending champions. Their losses have been extremely close. We’re just very tight from 2 to 8 right now.

No argument for No. 1 at this point. I think.

No disrespect to 1-4 but on the few times that I’ve seen them play, the Lunas look really tough and I think they can make a case that they deserve to be a few slots higher. Not that it really matters, but if I’m not mistaken, I think that the papers reported the Kamehameha-Hawai vs Kailua results backwards with Kailua actually winning that one.

ilh looks strong again and the top three will battle to be the top two for state contention. oia east will be strong this year while the wild west will be a wide open for who ever brings their game to the gym. and finally the outer island teams will be bored with their interdivision games.
would again not look past our defending champs to make a run again to the top. they have the talent and a good bench.
