They are the one allowing this to happen.

They are just as desperate as the coaches.

you are right. I’ve been to the Mililani and Kapolei Scrimmage. More than half the Mililani Team is Poly.
There is some major transferring going there. IDK how these kids are getting GE’s for this. I know 2 kids that live in the Nanakuli west side area, several from the Aiea area, several from Kapolei area, several from Waipahu area, and they are all enrolled at Mililani? SMH. I guess the Mililani leader is desperate . Can’t coach up average kids so he needs to go around picking up the best. Now that Gabriel and Milton is not around, you see that offense struggles alot. Should change their mascot name to Mililani Desperates.

They don’t get our respect for sure.

Just go to Mililani Mauka Middle School between the hours of 330-6 PM. You will see all the illegal activities thats going on up there. SMH. All the kids are wearing white helmets, im assuming its school property and not owned individually. Again it all comes down to mililani getting a jump start to prepare for next season. Not fair to the other schools. Claiming its club football? We all know the truth, all the kids on that team plays for Mililani Varsity football.

Dont forget those players whose parents feel their kid isnt getting any “love” from one program so transfer out to another school. A great example, the QB left Gorman, then left RR’s and landed at Millville.

Not to mention those kids who have come up through the Millville youth football program who are not from Millilani but attend the school through a GE or SOMEONES address within the schools district.

All the millilani born and raised kids should transfer out to Wailua and take the D2 championship. I hear they have an AD that is focused on making the Bulldogs an athletic powerhouse.

It would be interesting to take a look at if any of the past transfers were successful in securing scholarships. Thoughts?

All true… even the whole scrimmage thing, but just goes to show why only ILH can play in times like these ….smh

Sad to hear that someone who is supposed to be leading would behave in that manner.
Another tidbit of info, not confirmed but I heard a VERY prominent player (Plays LB, is #1 Recruit in class of 2021, headed to a Red School in the mid-west) was seriously injured during this unsanctioned club scrimmage. Maybe Paul can confirm and update? If this is true, its just sad to think that kids who already have scholarships would be risking their futures to play a meaningless club season.
IMO these guys hearts are in the right place but makes me wonder if they are taking this too far? Should kids who have signed even be playing? As adults coaches need to protect kids from themselves sometimes. Do they even have insurance?
Everyone is looking for a way too get an edge. Obviously the Kapolei and Mililani coaches feel this is their opportunity to do so. But at what expense? How much is this costing the kids? Pads are expensive….. They are not supposed to be using state issued equipment but I have heard that is not the case.
I am all for getting an edge, but when you start doing shady things or breaking the rules, that is not good for anyone involved.

Never before have i seen a mililani team having more than half the team being poly’s. Not discriminating or anything, but you know there is some serious recruiting going on out there. its amazing how the leader out there can get away with so much stuff . Sad for the kids who actually grow up in that community and cant play because kids from all over the whole island of oahu transfers to mililani. just saying. oh btw, heard had scrimmages in kapolei, heard it was a wild one , kids clearing benches, heck even heard the leader of mililani was there and was ready to bounce.

He is a good man who has molded hundreds of youths with a positive influence that has created a lasting effect for them and their community. Kahuku lost a good on staff Coach when they let him go. Glad to read he’s happy, enjoying his semi retirement and his grandkids.
