Waianae get the kids but not the coaching. They followed mililani’s gameplan and executed it better. Kahuku’s passing game and run game was pretty much non existent. It all came down to who makes the first mistake and it was waianae then waianae and waianae again lol. But excited to see the championship game, would like to go for kahuku and the oia but theres so many waianae kids on the st louis roster!! Besides the 2 captains evaimalo and timoteo. Best of luck to both teams!

@OIA#1 what excuses? I’m saying Kahuku was literally in the redzone with 2 minutes left in the game and Waianae defense was gassed by then. But instead of running it in for a TD for the sake of getting a TD coach Tata just milked the clock.

Homegrown, of course they probably couldve of scored at the end, because waianaes defense was practically on the field the whole game! And still kept kahukus offense outta they endzone. Give credit where it is due, no need to make excuses. Enjoy your success.

You would think that after eight games with the smash mouth wildcat, someone would be able to do something. But after 12 games, Kahuku is 12-0. So how close is an upset when after two games you have 0 points scored?

Great effort from Waianae. Kahuku left couple TDs on the field. With that terrible fumble call from the refs in the red zone and bad snap on first and goal and could’ve easily scored at the end if coach Tata wanted to.

True dat! Was a great defensive effort by both teams! Both offenses got shut out. Hard fought battle to the end. Hats off to Waianae! Only ones to shut out kahukus offense…..

Geez, who is this writer anyway. For goodness sake, there is no such thing as a moral victory in a State Playoff game. Waianae lost whether it was 13-0 or 3-0, the final score is the bottom line but this writer is trying to make it out to be a moral victory for Waianae who has to take that long bus ride home knowing they are out of the State tournament. Give me a break……all that counts is the bottom line in any playoff…if you’re going to be satisfied with moral victories, then, you don’t deserve to be in any State playoff game. Nothing more and nothing less.
