This is was the right call. What is bad is that there was pushing off on the Kahuku TD that wasn’t called.

What this post teaches us is that we need to wait to see the film, ALL ANGLES of the film before coming to a conclusion. Im sure Kona fans left the game saying it was a juice call. Even Paul Honda was scratching his head because from his seat and his camera angle it did not look like anything.

Bring the 2nd video (https://youtu.be/HScgA29c_Qo) from another angle and it is clear that the WR pushed off.

With that in mind, 88, all those bad calls you say the refs called lastyear against Kahuku….did you see various camera angles? Did you inquire to the refs about why they called what they did?

How about the 2 PI’s last year in the Mililani/Kahuku game that gifted Mililani a TD late in the 4th quarter of the OIA Championship game. Can you show that? That one is still a head scratcher for the 2 announcers. Or the 5 mysterious penalties called in a row on Kahuku’s JV in the championship game that placed the ball at the 1 yard line for the go ahead score and win. If your going to show what you think is a messed up call you should be fair and show ALL of them.

After further review, there is a little stiff arm by the WR. If he had not give that stiff arm then the defense could’ve made a play on the ball. Therefore, Offensive Pass Interference. Great call by the Back Judge.

I was at the game and thought it should’ve been a clean play but after seeing bubblegumscrew video it’s clearly a pass interference.

it clearly is offensive pass interference. there was offensive holding on the line that wasn’t called either. I expect biased calls against Kahuku and biased reporting but this is starting to get ridiculous. RRFL!

Some refs will throw a flag, some will let them play. There are times the calls favor the home team. My friend, whos son played for Waipahu last year said that there were some penalties that favored home team konawaena, but in the end teams just gotta play through it.

These things have a way of evening out. It was fortunate the one that goes against the ‘Cats happened in a non-league game. The policy of not complaining is also a good one.
