A state-which is what the Hawaiian Kingdom is, verified by the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague in the Netherlands and by a doctoral committee at the University of Hawaii- cannot be colonized, only a nation and place not having achieved international recognition as a state can be colonized. If Hawaii were colonized, and/or not in continuity as a state, the PCA would not have accepted the case of Larsen v Hawaiian Kingdom, but it did accept the case after exercising it’s institutional jurisdiction and determining that there is no evidence to be found to conclude that the Hawaiian Kingdom no longer exists. This confusion/conflation about colonization and occupation is not exclusively limited to drop-outs and graduates of the Kahuku Intermediate and High School. American brainwashing and the failure of the print and broadcast media to report on the case of Larsen v Hawaiian Kingdom and the occupation are to be blamed for the ignorance and confusion.

Such people cherish the valuable alternative to public education independent schools provide, and they greatly respect the right to freely choose that alternative. Some insecure, and perhaps troubled, individuals attempt to demonize those who support the ILH and it’s members by accusing them of hating public schools-nothing could be further from the truth. Further accusing them of not knowing what they are talking about is equally wrong. People who freely and intelligently choose an independent school education do so because they seek a better educational experience, better according to their perspective and standards. That is not to say that public education is bad, necessarily, there are many examples of public school graduates going on to very demanding academic institutions that would not have accepted them if their scholastic academic achievements and records had not been of such quality so as to qualify them for admission into those schools. Nevertheless, it is a fact that public schools are not sufficiently funded, equipped, and staffed to accommodate all of the school age population. Because of this, and legal limitations on what DOE schools can teach, as well as conditions and circumstances existing in DOE schools, some prefer an independent educational experience. According to publicly available information, only 27% of the students at the Kahuku Intermediate and High School can perform at the level of proficiency in mathematics, for reading, it is only 57%. While this is better than many schools in America with unionized faculty and administrators that are also public, it is nothing to boast or be proud of. One wonders how many Kahuku Football Team members are proficient in the subjects mentioned-truly proficient- and not just given a passing grade so they can be eligible to play. To those who would accuse independent schools of illegitimately giving passing grades to athletes in order for them to remain eligible to play, an important distinction between public and independent schools should be noted. Public schools are entirely financed with public funds, while independent schools are financed with private funds! That is a very big and meaningful distinction! It means that public schools have an obligation-a fiduciary responsibility to the general public, not only to the parents of the students- to ensure that those funds are spent efficiently and effectively for educational purposes. People are mandated to pay for the funding of public schools, when a student is “passed” despite not being proficient so he or she can be promoted to the next grade or graduate or remain eligible to compete in athletics, it is a very serious breach and betrayal of the public trust. If an independent school does any of those things, it is a private matter between the parents of that student and the school. An independent school that would illegitimately “pass” a student risks legal action and acquiring a unwholesome reputation that may lead to declining enrollment. Finally, by the manner in which some of the comments on this forum are written, if they are written by graduates of the Kahuku Intermediate and High School, it is easy to believe that only 57% of the students there-the so called “sons and daughters true” for whom are “the doors flung wide”-achieve the level of proficiency in reading, and consequently writing. Let’s give them the benefit of doubt that they graduated from the Kahuku Intermediate and High School.

An example of this brainwashing is found in the words of the school’s alma mater hymn, “the flag of freedom proudly waves above,” which is clearly understood by the students and alumni of the school to be a reference to the flag of the United States of America, as any one who wanted to test this assertion by asking the students and alumni would confirm. The US flag flies on the same pole as, and above, Hae Hawaii, a most offensive, disrespectful, and insulting display of the extent to which American brainwashing has succeeded in Denationalizing and Americanizing Hawaiian Kingdom subjects- and others-residing in the occupied territory of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Denationalizing and Americanizing the nationals of an occupied state(country) are considered to be war crimes under the laws governing occupation-international humanitarian law, the Geneva and Hague Conventions. Dr David Keanu Sai is Chairman of the Royal Commission of Inquiry, currently gathering facts concerning the commission of war crimes in the occupied territory of the Hawaiian Kingdom, from 1893 to the present, these war crimes continue and are ongoing. These facts will be submitted to all the states which are parties to the Geneva and Hague Conventions, the International Red Cross, and the International Criminal Court. Individuals named in complaints to the International Criminal Court risk being taken into custody, on suspicion of having committed a war crime, if they travel to a state which has acceded to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. Some of you seem to think that this is merely an opinion in personem, or some silly game, believe it or not, it is neither one of those, it is a most serious matter that has the attention of very serious minded, intelligent, well educated academics, lawyers, judges, and government officials, including those of the occupying state; the US Department of Justice filed a statement of interest in the case of Hawaiian Kingdom v Biden et al, after 3 countries closed their consulates in Hawaii in response to the filing of Hawaiian Kingdom v Biden et al in the US District Court in Honolulu. See HawaiianKingdom.org and the Hawaiian Kingdom weblog for more information

Your reply is unclear and enigmatic. You will not ask Keanu Sai your question about the defense of the Hawaiian Kingdom, and claim that his answer is obvious; but you didn’t ask, so you don’t know what his answer is. Are you familiar with Keanu, and what he has said, not in answering your specific question, but what he has said in general about the Hawaiian Kingdom’s status as a neutral state, in his presentations available for viewing online? By the way you worded your question about how the Hawaiian Kingdom would defend itself, I suspect that you have not given serious thought nor made any effort to make any inquiry into the matter by consulting those qualified and informed about the subject. Why are you deflecting the question about what is Keanu’s answer to your question? What did you mean by you are not going to lose this question to Keanu “because they answer is obvious?” Why did you use the plural form they to refer to Keanu? If you think his-the grammatically correct singular pronoun to use in reference to Keanu-answer is obvious (maybe to you, maybe you are wrong!) then state what you think that answer is, and share it with the readers of this forum.

Anyway the fact is Mililani got 2 big plays from Kahuku mistakes. A pick 6 and ball at Kahuku 2. In essence Mililani’s offense did not contribute to the 14 points. It was rainy and blustery. One thing is that St.Louis couldn’t stop Bartley. So can they can stop a bigger Timoteo? Sure St.Louis has passing, but their rush leader is Bianco. He will get punished. I can see York inserting a wild cat or jumbo. Also the rain and wind at Farrington can get brutal. And its predicted to shower. So it’s a toss up. Plus Mililani came off a challenging OIA championship. St.louis came off a 6 week hiatus. Like the OIA championship, the team that scores last will win.

This is a sports forum.

Also, in case you didn’t notice, the history of the world is full of example after example after example of people being conquered or taken over by war or otherwise. There wouldn’t be a Hawaiian Kingdom had King Kamehameha NOT conquered the rest of the islands. So give it a rest.

As far as the topic at hand, the road to the Championship still runs through St Louis. I like Big Red’s chances, but anything can happen once that whistle blows. Mililani’s D is legit, and I expect Bianco to do a lot of running and improvising; but the Trojan O isnt’ what it used to be.

GO Big RED!!!

It’s up to our students athletes and coaches to do their assignments to prepare these kids for their games. They might not meet our expectations, it’s the coaches responsibility to prepare for the next team, defense and offense. It’s common that we talk about our teams and others too. Bottom line it’s our kids future we need to support, not ours. Cheer your favorite schools, and congratulate the losing team too, they both sacrificed their family time too. GOBIGRED

Just respect all teams. And let’s have a great State Tournament no matter who wins.
