Kaimuki was basically seeded 6th and played #3 seed KS-Hawaii. HHSAA rules makes it so that a championship team can’t play a team from their own league in the first round.

You’re under the assumption that Roosevelt is better than Kapa’a, or somehow you’re thinking that Kapa’a is on Maui… Seeding is made so that things are easier for the #1 seed to get to the finals, so when HHSAA decided to seed KS-Hawaii ahead of Roosevelt, this was how it was going to be. It’s understandable because their only real loss came in a 42-49 game vs. D1 Kealakehe.

Kapa’a’s #2 seed is legitimate in my opinion. They should be the favorites next weekend.
