I gotta agree with hwnstyll & TheKrew808. Players missing multiple games, Tagovailoa beating Kapule twice are both valid statements in descrpancies of the committee selecting these all stars. Tua should of made POY & Kapule should of made 1st team. How did the Iolani qb make 1st team when they didn’t win a D1 regular season game? Let’s face the fact of Cal Lee winning it all & deserving the COY. I see a Kamehameha player that’s granted two spots on the team which makes no sense because another player on the cusp loses out.
We can go on forever about this particular election process. In the past I’ve seen players get chosen based on their college commitments & national recognition rather than their progress in their league play. Its not only for football its been happening for all sports. I think Head Coaches need to all sit down & select these all stars single handedly.

It is disappointing to kids and parents that the all star balloting is not statistically based.
Tua beat Punahou twice. Kapule lost twice to St louis, with 5 interceptions. POY is Tua.
If Kapule beat St louis the in the championship game Kapule would have been POY by himself, he had better numbers than Tua up to that game, but in the last game Cal Lee out coached Kale and that is why St louis are champions.

Nothing against kids from IOLANI getting props, but it should be at the expense of others.

WHINE? Haha all I said was Bs! Which it is! Two coaches made coach of the year and didn’t win their division. Another comment stated a boy who missed 3 games which is half the damn season. The first team Qb who was O-7 in the league? I see kids missing on that list that did play every down. It ain’t whine bro, just stating the obvious. You choose to make a list then make it as good as you can or don’t give out individual awards just to do so. CHRIST as u say, there are better things to do In life then a bogus list.

Yes, Cal Lee should be Coach of the year, Why Kale Ane ? he lost the Title the last two years to Cal Lee. Also, Tua is the man, not Kapule, yes Papule did play well, but not well enough to bring back the title to Punahou.

Well. It IS the ILH all star team list. Also, there’s only 4 teams in D-I. They’re gonna need to fill out the roster spaces to list a complete all star team. Christ, there are other things to get mad about in life aside from rewards and recognition for high school kids who worked hard on the field. You girls whine about everything, just like 88.

So true @thekrew808 I watched all the games of St. Louis (I’m alumni) I seen Taliulu injured ( hope he was ok) but made the team & missed Punahou, Waianae, & kahuku games? Is the ILH that thin where u can play half season & make all ILH?
