I totally agree with Philharmonic…Iolani has no schedule…trying to win titles with lesser ranking teams. GO BIG or GO HOME!!! This is FOOTBALL!!!

Damien will be playing in the ILH Div II for the regular football season but declared to compete in the Div I bracket of the state tournament. Iolani has moved down to the ILH Div II for the regular season and also has declared to compete in the Div II bracket of the state tournament.

Story in today’s Star Advertiser says ILH has StL, Pun, Kam in open, stF and Damien in D1, P5 and Iolani in D2. Is this some kind of JOKE??!! Iolani slotting themselves BELOW stf and Damien so they can steamroll smaller programs and claim yet another empty State title? Feel sorry for the players having to play “low” so head coach and school can feel good about themselves. Punahou not much better. Bringing in boatloads of “student athletes” under the guise of “Diversity scholarships” to bolster their roster. Direction of school’s admissions is troubling, getting essentially mercenaries to come in to win titles in name of school.

Ummmm… i thought they going Div 1 this year with St Francis. What happened? I hope the OIA didn’t scare them off to change their mind.
