If winning is what matters, then pay the coaches in all HS sports, college style. Integrity and Life lessons are as important as W’s. Aiea will be okay.

anyways, Kale Ane has to recruit to be able to compete with St Louis. St Louis set the bar with its recruiting of star players from the OIA. Punahou was force d to recruit if it wanted to keep pace with St Louis. St Francis recruits Tongan kids, Iolani recruits.

Sounds like Coach Say was venting all his problems and just complaining. Enough complaining already, just train to compete. More kids would stay at Aiea if coach Wendal “mediocre” Say was out…how you gonna be a sub 500 coach and still be there? They have talent, they need new life.

More and more coaches are speaking up about the problems that exist in their programs, namely the transferring and recruiting of players. Its a given that Cal Lee and Kale Ane are going to come in and steal the elite talent from your local pop-warner leagues but now you got schools like Mililani who are actively encouraging players to come to them. Farringtons coach has been talking for the past three years about his Kalihi kids being recruited to other schools.
