I would say most don’t, but a team such as Mililani ONLY has legitimate kids from their respective district?
Yeah, just like the other year when Kaiser and Coach Miano won the DII with only kids from Hawaii Kai…..

Saint Louis vs Mililani will be an exciting game. These are two very talented teams! It’s so awesome when we can see the talent rising in Hawaii sports! He’s no better a coach than many other coaches in the islands…

He is the best RECRUITER…by far. Ane and York don’t even come close… Too bad talent alone doesn’t guarantee wins…as we will witness over the next 1 to 2 weeks.

Never mind. Were talking about a 4 team tournament. 1 v 4, 2 v 3. Fuzzy math, 1 v 3, 2 v 4. Only in Hawaii, and then someone actually tries to rationalize it, like it makes sense. Might be the difference between an education at an ILH school versus an education at a public school

Much more respect for just calling it what it is. It’s called intellectual honesty.

Hope Cal uses it to his advantage. The sad thing is people let their own personal ego’s get in the way of being able to have an honest discussion. LOL, it’s a high school football game. All the kids playing are winners, some will have the experience of being state champs some will not, they have all had successful seasons, and hopefully a few of them will be able to move on to the next level and experience that, which may lead to an even brighter future with the education opportunities they get out of that. In the mean time, only really silly people can’t see the comedy associated with this, just makes the state look bad. And if any of you saw the Iolani Lahainaluna game, the calls in the second half on two of Iolani’s touchdowns that were called back was about as bad as any attempt at trying to rationalize 1 v 3, and 2 v 4 as a normal seeding approach. Make’s Hawaii look like a bunch of hicks.

Yes 4 team is always 1-4 and 2-3.

In a 6 team single elimination tournament it is always 1 playing winner of 4 and 5 with 2 playing winner of 3 and 6. Simplying adding up the rankings is not right. 4/5 winner is not the same as a 3/6 winner. The advantage has to go to the #1 seed. OIA does it right. HHSAA shouldn’t even seed because they don’t follow the standard rules. If you don’t believe me, just freaking google it. 6 team single elimination tournament. Lol.
