Kapolei look like a college team they are big and athletic on both sides. I think the OIA should beware of the Hurricanes. I dont think JJ at Kapolei will make any difference because its the kids on the field that make all the difference, JJ at St. Louis last year with Tua could not beat Kahuku. All the top teams look to have the physical size to dominate, all that is left is the size of the heart. Waianae/Kahuku/Kapolei/Farrington…one of these four will take the OIA title.

Sorry, going be tough to win OIA when starting the season with 2 losses (Kamehameha and Kapolei). But Leilehua proved that you just gotta win when it matters. So who knows. Good luck West Side Pride.

Hopefully the new staff (2nd year) will start turning it around. Waianae is like Notre Dame, great history, tradition, but no titles in a long time. It comes in cycles. Kamehameha and Punahou had a been down in the 80’s and 90’s, STL been down ( according to their standards) in the 2000’s, Kahuku had competitive teams in the 80’s but never got over the hump…like I said it comes in cycles.

…pretty bold prediction. Following Coach Youngs confidence. I like it. Good luck Westside Pride. Don’t know if it will be enough to get past Big Red. They have owned the Seariders the past decade and a half. I believe the Red Raiders riding a 16 game win streak. …I know, all good things must come to an end, but I don’t see it this year. Kahuku looks stacked.
