Private and public schools can never beat 2 OIA schools and that 2 school is Waianae and Kahuku they have the biggest fans that loves to eat that is the reason other schools like when this 2 school play on their campus they know their food concession going make money.

We don’t need a new field. The one we have is just fine. However it would be nice to have a proper Auditorium or an upgrade to the cafe&food or a better gym that didn’t double as a sauna. Anyone that has been to a Kahuku Ball or Vball game knows what i’m talking about. Our field is just fine. There is a reason we call that field the House of Pain….

88 … Good point about Kahuku playing on dirt field and water puddle track. They need to go to higher ground. They’re at sea level. If any school deserves a brand-new artificial turf field, it’s Kahuku. But, then there goes that beautiful “cloud of dust” when they run up the middle for 5,6, 7 or 25 yards.

I think we have a better chance of seeing 2 OIA schools in the State Title game before we see 2 ILH teams. If the Govs can get more fit and mobile offensive linemen they might have a good chance. Remember Kahuku was a a fumble away a few years ago that would of had them playing Mililani for the State Title. The ILH can recruit all they like it’s just the mentality of NEXT MAN UP that the kids need to buy into. Using the excuse of losing players to the ILH is just that, an EXCUSE. Anyone that went to a Waipahu game last year saw them lose but they also saw the SIZE of those kids. Not fat kids running around but good size players who are probably just a Head Coach away from being a contender. Kaiser had some ANIMALS too.

The only downfall to this scenario would be potentially seeing 2 ILH teams in the state championship football game. You want to have a feel of it being a state championship game, not a game for the ILH title.
