You took one instance during a televised game and the projected it onto the entire ILH? Kahuku has amazing community support, no doubt. But so do other schools. Including ILH. and there are a lot of public schools (and private) who have poor community support as well.

The point I’m making is that there are a lot of people trashing ILH and OIA for whatever reason. test scores, alleged recruiting allegations, envy/anger at who they perceive as the haves vs have nots, whatever. I’m saying that this is all crap created by the ADULTS not the kids who are actually playing. It’s the same thing like that one poster was talking about. Bottom line is the support of the kids no matter what school they go to.

Not every Kahuku student is an idiot who stares at the ceiling and only thinks “football” when he should be paying attention in class. Not every ILH player is some spoiled preppy rich kid or section 8 kid on a mythical athletic scholarship who was recruited and bought by some booster. And no, the HAIS and ILH aren’t out to get the OIA, no matter how much you guys want it to be true. The HHSAA is not a shadowy cartel dedicated to screwing over public education. The new state tournament is a little weird but I haven’t heard a single coach or player go on record saying they’re against it. Most people can’t wait to play.

Just enjoy the game, enjoy the kids, and enjoy football season and support whoever you support.

Ummmm I think it’s more of ILH with inferiority complexes. Always putting down OIA league in general.. Private schools don’t live by the same by laws as OIA schools. Not to mention the funding and boosters, if all those student athletes had to pay their own full tuition to a private school. Hmmmm this wouldn’t even be a topic of conversation. The OIA would be the supreme league hands down. The Waianaes, farringtons, and majority of the OIA teams would never have seen a drop off in competition in any year if all their kids stayed home to play. So with all the advantages the ILH has over the OIA it seems that still isn’t enough lmao, we gonna cater to you guys even more with this new format?? When will it end lol??? Put yourselves in da OIA’s shoes. Then you might realize where we coming from.
