Ivy league? State of the art facilities? Top notch coaching? Money? Promises of NBA? WHAT? Exactly, crickets……chirp, chirp. Wait, maybe they get to stay at the billionaire crib on the North Shore with access to a Lear jet to fly home after school. Yeah, that’s it.

I AM A ROBOT – From Utah here for Fahuku basketball!

As someone who has been around St. Louis as a kid along with throughout middle school and high school and has played football for St. Louis, we never recruited and it’s just the oia’s Excuse to have against us for losing. The parents decide to send their children to st Louis for a reason and that’s because our program legitimately is the best. Wouldn’t you think St. Louis would have bigger players or have more players that are faster or taller if that were the case? The recruiting on paper thing that you supposedly saw is bs. I would know every little detail about recruiting and there obviously is nothing going on. Parents just want their kids to go to a better school straight up. Let’s just stop making excuses that our program is better than yours and yours keeps losing and you have to take it out on us. STL4L

DISCLAIMER: I attended a summer school session at Punahou but was never a regular student there. Hard for my mom as a single parent to afford tuition and didn’t pass admissions as well.

@Just Me…..I’m a cafeteria monitor at a Central District school and also teach afterschool jazz/tap dance to elementary students. Would want to do more but my asthma condition and limited transportation options make that rough. What are YOU for the youth of Hawaii, internet hero? What a JOKE you are.

A win for any hawaiʻi team is helping to shine the light on many more talented players here in the islands. If you can’t look at the positive in that then that’s pretty sad.

Every father that has a son who is destined to be a great QB is smart enough to get his kid into the STL system to train under Vinne passas. Along with those future great QBs you will have great WR’s that will follow. That is why STL is always good because they have established a system and environment for kids at all positions to excel in football.

STL, Bishop Gorman, MaterDei, Bosco etc…These are all football factorys, they recruit (and also attract) talented kids and put them into a system.

Kahuku is a football town, its hit and miss every year with the kids in their small talent pool.

But I do agree, we should create a Hawaii super team to play for a national title. I only see this happening at a school that has the resources and ability to do so, and that is either STL or PUN.
