If Milton plays, then it’s a different story.

When there is a playoff system, their only purpose is to generate debate among fans. I know coaches don’t care. And once their playing on the field, neither do the players. So…moving on.

Having run roughshod over arguably the #2, #3, and #4 Run D’s in the state in three straight games (ours is #1)…what’s Mililani’s game plan to stop our run? At least Hawaii Prep is not pulling a Brien Ing at ScoringLive, who’s ‘crystal balling’ resulted in a 40-32 Trojans win…? He’s smoking crack.

Let’s break that down…three teams with better Run D’s gave up a ton of yards and 40-50 points/game. How is he gonna predict Mililani’s poorer Run D only gives up 32?? Not to mention that the Trojans style of Offense means Kahuku will have the ball more often! I’m not even gonna address the 40 he’s giving the Trojans. They won’t even have Milton. Nuff said.

Time to run dem ovah!! RUN until they stop it – which they WON’T!! GBR!!

Radford or Kapaa beating Kapolei? To me that’s an insult to the team that acutually plays against the top D1 teams in the state every year. If both teams played the teams that Kapolei plays, they would see why they belong in DII. And if you look at past teams such as Aiea, Kaimuki who were the D2 elite in the past. They moved up but could not keep it going. Aiea is still in the D1 but has not been a threat so far.

The Star-Advertiser can provide classified rankings, it chooses not to.

The purpose of the poll is to identify the top 10 teams in the state at a particular point in time and this poll does that. The voters on this poll believe that if you throw records and classification out, Radford and Kapaa would beat Baldwin and Kapolei if they played today. I think I tend to agree. In 2010 Iolani rose as high as No. 3 in the poll and finished at No. 4, meaning that a panel of judges thought the Raiders were better than every team except Saint Louis, Mililani and Leilehua. I think history agrees with that.

Anyway, to me doing a classified poll when classification is so spotty doesn’t answer the one question we ask and is a slap in the face to teams like 1980 Iolani, 1983 Nanakuli and the incredible 1999-2000 Molokai baseball squad.

Does having a poll that includes 2-7 Iolani or 4-4 St. Francis do anything for you? It doesn’t do anything for me.

I’m just trying to answer the question, I am glad that there are other places for you to find the poll format you seek. I think there are four polls, scoringlive and covertwo by classification and the Star-Advertiser and OC-16 do a pure top 10. I could be wrong about that.

They rank off of emotions rather than anything else.
