Time to get rid of this 2 year pilot OPEN. St.Louis average 42 points and undefeated the past 2 years on OIA teams. The purpose was to make it competitive? It aint. Why do you think Punahou and Kam is sick of it . It’s about state wide recruiting.

Best teams in the country are Catholic schools BC the can recruit and don’t have boundary limits. St Thomas Aquila’s has 31 3* or better. A relatively new team St. Francis in Baltimore has 21Power Five commits.

Looks like BG is legit this season……with lots of skill & speed…..and decent size…..

If the Crusader pass rush doesn’t get home, the Campbell Saber game showed that the corners can be vulnerable against quality receivers…..as somewhat exposed by Titus Mokiao-Atimalala…..as well as even Zavier Ceruti (who dropped 2 TD passes in the end zone).

Will be interesting to see what happens against BG if/when the Crusader pass rush doesn’t get home against mobile dual-threat QB Micah Bowens (a Penn State commit) [in the mold of UA QB Khalil Tate] leaving the secondary to contend with 6-3 WR Rome Odunze (a UW commit) along with some smaller quicker receivers.

Also BG’s defensive secondary (especially their corners) look to be talented and might present a challenge for Sykes & Wilson…..such that Nishigaya & Silva might need to become the primary receivers……like when Chance Beyer blew up in last year’s game against Narbonne when Close & Wilson were somewhat neutralized by the Gaucho corners.
