Haha it’s fun reading all of these comments! It seems like St.Louis and Kahuku fans are just going at it with each other, which makes sense because this is a huge rivalry. The two best high school football programs in Hawaii history. And they’re facing each other this week! No coincidence the trash talking is becoming a little more frequent My honest opinion is that Saint Louis will probably win it all again this year and they deserve their rank in the nation. Mililani and Punahou (so far in the season) seem to be their biggest tests. BUT never take out Red Raiders from the equation. I know from personal experience and as you can tell from these posts, living in the community itself, or just anything football related in Hawaii, RR4L is a real thing. And these kids and the true fans (not the bandwagon fans who only cheer for Kahuku when they win and all left last year) got these kids backs. Kahuku has ridiculous talent year round that most coaches could only dream to have. BUT Coach Cal and his brother are no joke. You can have all the talent in the world, but coaching makes a huge difference and aside from recruiting these coaches are just unbelievable and it’s not a coincidence they have success for whatever teams they coach. But hey, let the best team win. I think St.Louis should easily win by a lot, but at the same time I think Kahuku has a small chance to rewrite the script and pull off an upset. With Kahuku there is always a chance. Either way, let the best team win and let’s all try to remember football isn’t the only thing in life so may the fans TRY to be humble and respectful. All I gotta say is keep complaining about whatever team you want on HPW. It’ll definitely work! If you comment enough, the team you want to win will eventually win. Everything you complain about will go away and all your wishes will come true! Just keep commenting!

I think a few things are emphasized or even discussed regarding the effect on a programs success: 1. Coaching – good coaching staffs are hard to find and keep (Coach Cal does an great job at it) 2. Strength Training & Conditioning- I am constantly surprised at how many players don’t put in the time and effort, 3. Parental involvement/Booster support – this is huge, I think Mililani does a good job. Good games this weekend!

Crusaders keep smashing everybody. The more you smash the more they hate and i love it.

Stay strong Big Red your time will come again, or not, looks like mililani is the new kahuku lol.

I give Rod York Credit, hes the only one that doesnt complain about the ILH, in fact he encourages it, to play the top teams instead of trying to stay away from them. Week in week out playing against the best. As a football player thats what you want.

So the Saban and Cal Lee rule is to take the top players and go 4 deep. Well a whole bunch left because nobody would look at them “sitting” on the bench. Another rule,if they on YOUR bench, they can hurt you on another team. Lol. Jalen Hurts went to Oklahoma. Oops. Last 2 heisman, from OKLAHOMA. Let’s see Oklahoma play Clemson for national title. So yeah recruiting can hurt because it not about community pride, it’s about ME pride.
