wth is the “Kahuku Rules?” Is that the set of rules where if Kahuku is not the center of attention anymore, you get to complain about all kinds of stuff?

THE KAHUKU RULES

This interview cracks me up with the ELITIST MENTALITY. When they lose to Kahuku last year Cal went on camera and made the excuse…”it would be nice to play Kahuku in the regular season so we can get used to their smash mouth style, ILH is a passing league and we are not used to stopping the run”. Sure enough a few months later the ILH proposes to the OIA to combine leagues and offers 3 Million$$$, OIA says no! so they secretly create the Open division format. THE KAHUKU RULES.

Now in 2016 after ST. Louis beat Kahuku Ron Lee is saying “the competition in the OIA is weaker and we knew it would come back to bite them (aka Kahuku would not be battle tested)…we dont have a soft schedule we play Punahou and Kam so we were prepared for the title game”

So when Kahuku wins things need to change? But when an ILH team wins everything in the universe is fine? ELITIST MENTALITY. THE KAHUKU RULES.

APPLY THE KAHUKU RULES TO ALL SPORTS PLEASE…YOU KNOW, THE RULES THAT SAY WHEN THE BALANCE OF POWER SHIFTS TO ONE TEAM, DO SOMETHING TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR OTHER TEAMS TO COMPETE. OR IS THE FACT THE ILH DOMINATES ALL THE OTHER SPORTS JUST FINE IN THE UNIVERSE?

I can respect their success and hard work but

these guys need to get over themselves. The success of St.louis upon Cals return

3 years ago is because of one thing. Recruiting! Period. The coaches before him

could not get the talent which translated to loses, Cal comes in and goes

shopping in the neighbor islands and takes recruiting to a whole new level.

HEY STLOUIS TELL THE LEE BROTHERS TO STAY OUT OF LAIE PARK. GO RECRUIT WAIANAE,

EWA BEACH, HONOLULU, KALIHI…WE DONT CARE! WE ENEMY OF THE STATE ANYWAYS AND ARE USED TO BEING IN THE CORNER BY OURSELVES. SINCE NO OIA TEAM CAN BEAT US IT MAKES SENSE TO STACK UP AT STLOUIS AND COME AT US! BUT LEAVE OUR TALENT ALONE SO WE CAN STAY COMPETITIVE

really ILH that’s all you’ve got. I know you guys have been holding back for a whole year and now that St. Louis is the state champ, just let it all out. You have bragging rights for a whole year before the season begins so let it all out, you guys deserve it.

Did Kahuku throw away all there 2016 Open Division State Championship Tee Shirts that was made before the game was ever played, Now you can go burn them, St. Louis Humble, no need to do all the Monkey Business, and get Karma, No Parades for Kahuku this year, and no Championship Banners along the Highway in the Community of Raider Nation.

Red X, sir, it is never easy to win. Please don’t take away from the accomplishments of these fine young men at St. Louis or any other school. Great job to all the kids who put in the time to be a part of a team. It’s unfortunate that some people use this blog to insult and hurt others. I would like to congratulate Coach Cal. I had the privilege to play against his teams for 2 years. They were well coached and played with class. No one in the history of Hawaii Football has had such a huge impact and positive effect on the game. His record speaks for himself. It’s unfortunate that people have to always bring up the recruiting tool. If his program wasn’t so elite, no one would want to go to his school. Bringing in kids to play a sport is a huge opportunity for many kids and their families. Instead of embracing it, many insult it. But, would you turn down financial assistance to get into a private school? Often insulting is a result of jealousy.

Iolani recruits football players???? Ok, that is pretty funny. The same Iolani that has a record of 0-27 vs. ILH D-I teams over the past eight years? Who would all these players happen to be? I think they only have one graduate in D-I and he is at the prep school at the Naval Academy. Iolani recruits football players….that indeed is funny.

For someone to say that Iolani does NOT recruit is totally inaccurate. Also, I didn’t see anything in the article where Coach Cal, or Coach Ron, talks trash about Kahuku. St. Louis just outplayed Kahuku this year. Maybe next season it will be a different story. Who knows, maybe neither will make it to the Open Division title game. No matter how unlikely that may be; This season is the YEAR of the CRUSADER !
