No team from the OIA can beat the Crusaders or the Buffanblu. Their players are the cream of the crop from all districts. Coaches are heads and shoulders above most OIA coaches except for maybe coach York. The best OIA can do would probably beat second and third string players, which by the way sees playing time when the first team blows the opponent out early.Public schools that were perennial power houses are rebuilding with new coaches which could be a factor why these players decide to leave. Sad that Punahou will not see state playoffs because they are the only contenders for St. Louis. Would be crazy if Farrington can sneak in which is a long shot but none the less a possibility because of the stupid setup of state open selection process.They (Farrington) belong at Division 1 and would probably still struggle unless a good coach is hired.

Funny HPW interview with Cal Lee touched on recruiting rules. Crickets with York??? You leave ILH, go back to your District public school. If your want to play OPEN, go to the closes one. When educational DE is requested, it’s for a program offered at the school. It doesn’t matter who the teacher is. DE is being abused by Mililani admin. Ask them about the true mill kids that transfered out because they were going to be bumped by “hand picked recruits”.
