The schedule is determined by the win loss record every two years. The schedule it not the problem. The “playoffs” are the problem. Sub .500 team in the playoffs? All but two teams in OIA D1 make it to the OIA playoffs. Cut it back to the top three teams of the Red and Blue. The top seeds get a bye, the bottom four play each other. Fewer games but more meaningful games. Makes the regular season mean something, other than rewarding the second to last team one more game.

Waianae played Saint Louis Kahuku and Kapolei first 3 games. Who did Mililani play. OIA favors certain schools and the schedule is gravy. let all the power schools play each other like before. Not putting them down but look at the scheduling. They should put KAHUKU, MILILANI, FARRINGTON, WAIANAE, KAPOLEI, LEILEHUA, CAMPBELL ALL IN ONE DIVISION.

How do they make up the schedules? Not to dis other teams that mililani plays but mililani has an easy schedule. I want to see them play kahuku, saint Louis, punahou and the likes. What is the process and who is putting the schedule together?

OIA Schedule still favors the “power schools” Kahuku is being babied yet again, and you expect people to say they are #1?? They need to schedule teams like Farrington, Kapolei or Mililani in their regular season schedule to say they are the very best.

Mililani should be in drivers seat for Open Division bid, but with OIA playing patty cake with other leagues, they shame the public school system, the kids, and the State of Hawaii Man up and compromise with other leagues.

All I see that Waialua schedule never changed we still play 4 damn week day games which is Thursday’s. Idk why the OIA just doesn’t let the kids play on a Sunday it would make it easier for everyone refs, staff and student athletes. The OIA director needs a reality check

Cancel practice. Easy solution. Or just make those days bonding sessions. Can tell spooky stories, go to the movies, have dad vs. sons scrimmage or learn new songs and dances for example. More to life than football.

Who’s the brainiac(s) that did these schedules? You have teams playing on Saturday then playing again the next Thursday? Kids going get hurt.
