This reply is to “808Polytics,” “OIA Watcher” and “Oheyea.” Hello, this is Nick Abramo, and it would be cool to know your real names, too. But that’s OK. First of all, MaxPreps did have one extra win for Mililani, but that has been corrected. I have never seen them give Saint Louis a loss, and if you look at it now you will see Mililani as 5-1 and Saint Louis as 4-0.

So, OIA Watcher, the article may still be a waste of time but it is accurate.

And to “Oheyea,” as far as Lee Leslie and Red West being listed as Kahuku’s coach and division, that has nothing to do with on-field play. We cover less than 100 schools in Hawaii and have trouble updating who the coaches are in all of the sports; the changeovers happen quickly and without any notice most of the time. So, with like 15,000 schools that MaxPreps is working with, I tend to think more than a few would not notify them of a coaching and division change.

To “808Polytics:” I don’t agree that the rankings are a joke, but I do understand that they are not perfect. But, they ARE a national ranking system and the only one I know of and that’s why we run it in Hawaii Prep World.

Oh, but that’s not the only reason. When Mililani was ranked No. 6 , the 30,000 or so (do not have exact numbers) Hawaii Prep World readers of that post did not complain that the rankings were a joke. I think most everyone, including fans of other teams, were impressed that a Hawaii team was ranked that high.

Max Prep rankings are irrelevant. Please Hawaii Prep, stop reporting them. Oh wait!!! Kapolei is +11, nevermind. LMAO!!
