I agree with post #19.
If Brady didn’t get hurt on the very first play of the ILH championship game, I still think the Crusaders would have won. The game would have been probably closer like their first game though. It’s tough when you go down 7 on your first offensive play and lose your starting QB at the same time.
Like I previously mentioned, if Gabriel went out on the first play of the State Championship game, the Crusaders would have put them into the mercy rule and Mililani would not have scored.
Mililani should not have been rank #2 and could not win or keep it close against a good team.
This year the Crusaders was clearly #1 and that’s all that matters.
I’m wondering how good they will be next year.
Looking forward to next season.

TROJANS! Be proud of the season you had! Mililani finishes #2. Plain and simple. 86 pts. places you there. All these “has-been/wannabes”, talk nonsense. Would love to hear what they accomplished in their football careers….?? Congrats to St. Louis. They were the better team that night. Take nothing away from your OIA Championship. You beat Kahuku twice. The rankings are the rankings, and the truth is, none of these posters on this site were on that voting panel for good reason. Their votes don’t count! ILH = you agreed to the format, no one forced you to this Open Division. The rules and format were laid out and you participated. You can’t now go back and dispute the set up. Too funny! All you c/o 2019 seniors, go out and make the 808 State proud!

Bottom line top 6 in the tournament. like the remark in the above. if the best 6 is OIA then thats the best 6 or vise versa for ILH. System is screwed up. Shame on Hawaii. Farrington (with a 2-8 record) if they had upset or beaten campbell, they wouldve been a 2-8 team playing in the state semi finals lol. How embarrassing is that. Cmon Hawaii wake up, thats just a no brainer the system has to change. If they had right this year this wouldve been the teams in the state tournament:

-Saint Louis
-Mililani
-Kahuku
-Campbell
-Punahou
-Kamehameha

Now doesnt that look like a better. Cmon HHSSA get it right.

Who’s bashing kids? who’s criticizing the sacrifice that coaches make? of teaching these about life and keeping them off the streets?

I agree with most, not all, of the things you mentioned we should be thankful for when it comes to coaches.

What I do not agree with is the ranking of Millilani above Punahou.
