Congrats to both teams on making the final. Awesome job Coach Lee, you brought Hawaii Football to where it is at today. There is one thing I do even as a RR4L, I cheer and root for all Hawaii kids in all sports once they are playing at the college and pro level, Kaonohe, Tua, Milton. Marcus no matter what high school they went too, they are from the 808 and you got to feel good and support the local boys. Good job and no one get hurt this weekend. RR4L

Congrat to St. Louis and Kahuku in reaching the finals. The rivalry and excitement continues. As far as for national rankings, the top Hawaii teams can compete with any reputable and ranked mainland programs. Look at how St. Louis, Kahuku, and Mililani played against them this season. With Hawaii is getting more national attention recently with McKenzie Milton and Tua Tagovailoa showing the 808 talent at their universities, the top teams of the State should always challenge themselves against the big programs every season. That doubleheader more than 10 years ago at Aloha Stadium featuring Kahuku and Cal Poly, and St. Louis and De La Salle on the same night was a great night for the local football fans. I recall De La Salle had the longest winning streak at that time of 105 games which St. Louis lost by 10 points. Overall, it will get the college programs a better look at our local talents and our boys can landing scholarships to help their families.

Whatever the outcome the St.Louis vs. Kahuku will be another classic. Congratulations to St. Louis on the rankings. Mahalo s to ALL high school coaches,staff,trainers,referee’s,cheerleaders,security, grounds keepers, everybody that make HS football a GO.
I’m a RR fan since the 80”s but graduated from a ILH school. When rankings in Hawaii go up, college recruiters show up. That means more colleges, more scholarships, more kids getting on to the next level, which is education. I’m sure All HS coaches get a thrill from any ex players that send them a college commencement invitation. Success, discipline, teamwork, honor should be the basis to All high school sports and organizations. All of Hawaii working to get our young adults on with their lives. Mahalo.

Good Job Crusaders…Kahuku will get a chance to play another highly ranked team in the same year…St.Louis should head over to Florida or California next year to play IMG or Mater Dei ..Should they win either one, that will definitely put Hawaii high school football on the map…
