I do know this, if Kaiser High
School color was red, he would try to change it to blue.. When he coached the HUB all-star game, he wanted to switch with the other team for their blue jerseys. Jeez…

Cry me a damn river! Interview the many other coaches (past and present) that had to rebuild their football program from scratch. Anuenue, Roosevelt, McKinley, Kaimuki, just to name a few had to rebuild many times and NEVER EVER have I heard/read about these Coaches complain. You lucky you had 25 players, back in 2000 Kaimuki suited up only 21 players and played against Kahuku so sthu. I could go on but for what?! Since season is over for Kaiser you should start preparing for next season NOW! So wipe away your tears, put your big girl panties on, and COACH!!!

I knew this would come out sooner or later! You shouldn’t be trying to preach your religion on the kids, teach them football and becoming good people in life, leave religion to their parents.
At Moanalua he would try to have both teams pray before the game at the 50 yd line but let his players cross the 50 yd line during warm-ups which is disrespectful (ask Radford) he’s a joke.

But I feel no teacher, coach, or administrator should force religion down your throats. Coach Martinez will run into the same issue he faced at Moanalua if he keeps on talking about god and making the kids prey. Many kids are uncomfortable when god is brought into the situation. Coach, you are there to build character and teach football. You are not there to instill the word of God. Some kids like it, some kids don’t care, and some kids cannot stand it. To expect and demand the all kids share your faith is very irresponsible and inconsiderate in my humble opinion.

I warned Kaiser fans 3-4 years ago when they were talking great about Kaiser football that they would be terrible when he leaves.
Martinez is now complaining about numbers (duh) Hawaii Kai doesn’t have athletes like Kahuku, Farington, Waianae and when they do have a little talent they go to private schools. Kaiser should stay in DII or DIII…..
