You’ve missed the real part of my whole comment. June Jones offensive system will get exposed. Kahuku will send a bunch of blitz packages every down & let their secondary go one on one with Kapolei’s soft WR’s. If you haven’t seen last years defensive play by Kahuku in the Championship game. That is what I’m referring to. Tagovailoa won’t have time to breath & he will show his youth on his play & decision making. And to cap it off Kabuki will prove to the state that Kapolei’s hype is bubble gum.

And Kapolei is not ilh, OIA football all day. . . St. Louis is an awesome school, great football history but this ain’t the 90’s. Ilh gotta work a little harder now days to win tourneys.

*Oregon runs the table with a high powered run & shoot plus a 4 yr starter / heisman. Cannot compete against a dominant, aggressive defense of Ohio St or Stanford.
*June Jones runs a run & shoot offense in 07 in a weak conference against mediocre talent & is successful. Goes to sugar bowl & the offense is nonexistent against a dominant Georgia defense.
*Kapolei dominates passing/ offensive stats all year in a weak division. Competes against maybe Waianae’s defense at best & beats the #2 place ILH team in the 1st round of the state tournament.
My prediction: Kapolei will looks like they have no offense against a well oiled machine of Kahuku’s defense.

Don’t be alarmed. The real question is ” What is the spread & where is June Jones laying the money?” Be on the right side of the cash.

any system can work with superior talent. oregon had a superior offense but their defense could not stop sec or big10 teams. kapolei is the same, can beat good teams but lets see how they do against an elite team like kahuku. i tell u if jj went to kahuku they would stiil be having an undeafeated season

Article compares June Jones stats to two overrated teams that never played anyone legitimate all season. I’ll give them the Punahou win, sometimes teams get lucky. But whats more ironic about these stats, offense & June himself is that the system will be exposed against a dominant defense. Kahuku will blitz all game long & DBs will go one on one challenging the QB & WRs. The physicality of the DBs & DLine will kill June’s offense just as Georgia did in the Sugar Bowl. Reality will come soon for the Kapolei run & shoot. But let’s all be real here. The gambling houses of Hawaii must be pissed this season just as they were in 2007. Wondering why June is hanging around high school football? “Big Bank eat Little Bank”.

It’s not a question of which system works but which team has the better players and, unfortunately, Kahuku definitely has the better quality players which is the reason why they will beat Kapolei. The same goes for Bishop Gorman when they played Kahuku last month as they definitely had the better players and beat Kahuku at their own power offense game by running the ball right down the throat of Kahuku’s defense which led to their victory over Kahuku.

PH Im glad that you acknowledged that Kapolei has both REPETITION AND TALENT under their belt to make the RnS work. Because when they meet an equally talented Kahuku team this week we will find out which system is better and not make excuses about which team had the more talent.
