Tua is no doubt the best QB Hawaii has produced in decades.
But the announcers need to lay off the cool aid. He is good but he is not great, the announcers spend more time making excuses about the “could’ve/ should’ve/ would’ve” been a touchdown.
– if only the WR was 2 inches taller
– if only he threw that ball 1 second earlier
– if only, if only, if only……blah blah blah
– Dont they realize that IF ONLY every high school team was a little bit better then they would win a State Title too!

RESULTS IS ALL THAT MATTERS, EVERYTHING ELSE IS ONLY EXCUSES!

Maybe the oia and hhsa can take note and implement this during championship games and state tourney. It didnt take long and last night was good example of replay challenge working. During the East vs Westcoast game a td pass was called incomplete but after further review it showed the boy caught the ball and dragged one foot in the end zone before stepping out of bounds. Sometimes plays happen to fast for our refs, and maybe our refs wont make the CMON MAN segment of Sportscenter again….
