It’s up to them if they agree with me. It’s all good to feel that way about your “open” teams cause some of them nevah get the love from the voters to rank above Lahainaluna. All good to feel haboot but, no knock on a team for that, be negative towards the voters.
Yup, I got pilau hea cause of you and that prick “no body betta than us, REAL 2x STATE CHAMPION” Wake up. You guys that good?..for come read up on one D2 article and low ball us? Niele on what the article say then put up some stupid comments about “sandbagging” and “cannot beat” whoever not even in that division blah blah blah..COM’on!! If you no more something good for share and you cannot take the heat for your dumb comments, mind your own business, go on your own teams thread!
No Aloha here, but good luck to whoever your team is, GET BETTER! and if your “that good” good luck on winning a championship or even being “THE REAL 3x CHAMP”. You “POHO” commentators! Hahahaha

Regardless if you convince errbody to agree with you, I still going feel this way until I see them BEAT an OPEN team.

Go back be honest with yourself and truly see who got Pilau on this thread.

Aloha and good luck to the Luna’s in the D2 State Tourney.

Obviously we cannot beat the top 4 or 5 teams in the open. Chronic man, one of those bottom guys is your team that’s why you butt hurt? Ahhh this guy! Go back D1 then and if you still no more chance over there, go D2 and if you get hard time over there go 8 man..if not 8 man, try flag football, if you still no can win, keep playing Madden on easy mode! Whatever you do, just no kill yourself. I gave Wake up the number, go gettum from him..you guys can get counseling together. You 2 POHO buggahz hahahha

That’s exactly what I’m saying. This Chronic guy contradicting! He say “Lahainaluna too good, should go D1” blah blah blah but, they cannot beat anybody in Open?..so, Mr Chronic man..you telling me non of those D1 teams can beat any of the open teams?..and I not emotional, like I said, I bring facts to what I say! And only Me and Kalei feel the same?..what about this guy “No Dog” that wrote one whole book?..you telling me he no feel the same?

No Dog IMHO..brada, how you feel? These guys from Maui can beat one “open team”? By the way..you better call your hook up and ask’em!! Not all starters was out but, the play makers was! The coaches never like take one chance in getting them hurt before the regular season start. Who would leave the main guys in knowing the potential of winning another ring was pretty good? Preseason game is nothing..win or lose! It would’ve been nice to win but, that wasn’t the objective. It was to see if the boys could hang. And I think the coaches was happy with what they seen.

Again, I, along with a bunch of fans wish Lahaina was in D1 but unfortunately they not and it’s out of their hands. And if you guys mad about their ranking that they rank higher than some of your “OPEN” teams (which they have a reason why) then it sucks to be you buddy! Not like Lahaina wen come up with that. Nobody from Maui did, go have a meeting with the board from Scoringlive and Hawaii Prep world, maybe they can give you some “FOOD FOR YOUR THOUGHT” But no come “low ball” a team!

Case Closed.

And what, may I ask, do you mean by continuing the onslaught??

There is too many readers writing disrespectful things towards a particular school or program on something they don’t have control of, in this case its the ranking and division they are in. His emotional response to you well, I don’t blame him. He states a case against your comment about not beating an open team. I actually believe what he claims, I believe they are that good. Your #smallteamsyndrome is pretty funny too

As 16, 17 and 18 has shared, much more bluntly than I have, the Luna’s are too good to be in D2.
Thats the point, no disrespect to the kids and coaches or the community.

It’s time for the coaches and AD to step up and make the move. If they can play D1 in all other sports why not football. If they would have done that a year ago I think they would be the current D1 champions. In hindsight I think they regretted that decision but I guess not cuz they’re still in D2. From what I heard they gave the current D1 champs Hilo cracks last summer when they traveled to practice with them and Hilo also got cracks last year from D2 runner up Konawaena. I don’t see any D1 team this year that they can’t compete with and very likely beat. @ Phil HI Chronic, good one @ M, I disagree with you that Lahainaluna couldn’t beat an Open Division team. I’ve seen every Open division team except Mililani play live this year and watched Mililani play on TV 4 times. I’ve also watched Lahainaluna play live several times a year during this run. I think scoring live has them ranked right where they belong at #7. No they can’t compete against Saint Louis, Kahuku, Punahou and Mililani. As for Kapalama, I know they played them tough last year for three quarters before the game got out of hand in the fourth quarter on a couple long plays. As for @ M’s claim that they pulled their starters at half, I haven’t heard that one before and doubt that is the case but I’ll look into it with those that would know. What I do know is that they could beat Waianae, Farrington and probably Campbell and Kapolei, at least give the latter two a helluva game. What I do know is that this playoff system needs to be fixed, for the kids and the fans. I like the Open Division, D1 and D2 concept and the ILH/OIA merger but It’s sad that one of the two best teams in the state will be going home early and won’t make the open division playoffs and Lahainaluna will be playing for essentially the D3 championship. The playoffs should be about the best teams playing against each other regardless of league affiliation, but I guess that is for another thread. Unfortunately, the OIA has the numbers and the votes to strong arm everybody else in doing what is best for the OIA. Looking for an exciting playoffs and good luck to all teams and hope that everybody comes out healthy. Aloha!

I don’t think anyone is saying that Lahainaluna is bad more of they’re too good to be where they’re at. I understand where these other guys are coming from but I don’t agree with them. Your almost accurate. I have a nephew that plays for Kam Maui and a nephew played for Kam Kapalama. We attended last years game Kapalama vs Lahainaluna on Maui and your right it was very hot, and we did notice that their skilled players were not playing. The first half was very competitive and we took control in the third. I still can’t see Lahainaluna winning that game. This year seems a bit different, you guys are more of a complete team with the passing game, very odd.

With all due respect to your alma mater, I along with prabably the entire State is waiting for the Lunas to step up a division. I personally believe the success will carry over.

@Philharmonic if Lahainaluna ever plays an Open Team in the bottom 4 or 5 you will be surprised.

I’m rooting for KS Hawaii to win it all! like M said “anything can happen” this year, were flying under the radar
Aloha!
