They are all losing a chance to go to college through football scholarships and their parents hard work taking them to games and practice.

Open-Waianae,Kapolei,Campbell,Mililani,Leilehua,Farrington,Kahuku,Kailua

Div.1-Aiea,Castle,Waipahu,Moanalua,,Radford,,Nanakuli,Kaimuki,Pearl City

Div.2-Waialua,Kalaheo,Kaiser,Kalani,McKinley,Roosevelt, (play 2 rounds)

In no particular order but based on record last 2 years, enrollment, history of program, coaching, tradition, and current state.
Maybe there can be some movement between Div. but the core of teams is key.

Just food for thought.

No need to combine teams. The Kalani staff has been quietly working hard over the past few years to increase participation and it has worked. No excuse for low turnout at Kaiser. They also have half of Waimanalo in their district, but it seems like most of the players there are at Kailua with the job that Haoli Wong is doing there. Poho – their new field.

High school sports should be about allowing students to participate and represent their school and community. It’s also about learning values of teamwork, sportsmanship, hard work, dedication, etc. Therefore, they should come up with solutions for creating divisions where schools can participate in and be competitive. They need to use common sense. Not cents or money.

The JV’s can play at school fields. The OIA used to do it in the past.

DOE needs more trained groundskeepers for maintenance.

I’ll be the programs were really looking forward to playing in Aloha, no matter how junk a place it is. Diaz Stadium looks awesome from the freeway. BUT, for a Hawaii High School football players, playing in the Stadium is playing in the Stadium. No equivalent.

Terrible.

ILH would never pull the rug out from under any of its teams.

Could it be the difference between OIA and ILH is the level of classiness with which their respective student athletes are treated?
