Congratulations on your wellness in life!

But… For someone who’s blessed to have their kids go to a great school, I have one question…

Why you so ANGRY? Why boddah you? Why not just be GRATEFUL for your blessings and wish well of others?

HAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

Speaking of stats…here are some for your son’s choice (I’m assuming it’s HIS choice and NOT yours?) of being an attorney:

52% – dissatisfied with their life in general (higher with their profession)
27% – divorce rate
100% – working more than 40 hours/week
34% – severe alcoholism
28% – depression
20% – anxiety
…and the list goes on…

Tell him Goooooood luck.

Me? Happily married for two decades with happy, well-balanced children who are achieving honors in their classes at a charter school with the MOST DIFFICULT academic curriculum in the N.A.T.I.O.N. bar none (charter/public/private/you name it – light years ahead of any ILH school)…where they are also encouraged to pursue THEIR passions…NOT mine. And they LOVE going to school and being challenged.

Am I monetarily rich? No. Are my kids going to be super athletes? No. Not even close. Are we happy? YES. Will my kids be happier in life than most people? Maybe. Happier than attorneys? Absolutely. Who knows? Maybe one will become a psychiatrist who will have to counsel (console?) your son for all of his depression, anxiety and general dissatisfaction.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!! Cracking myself up.

Goooooooood night.

Unbelievable! He is going to college whether its free or not. What does 9 Kahuku players being recruited to play college football have to do with being successful? Just admit you can’t afford to send your son to an ILH school! Focus! You sound resentful and jealous! I can tell where your priorities are — do you not read stats, that only point 1% get into the Not For Life league after college. Ghee whiz, maybe in the future my attorney son from an ILH school can represent you in court for repping dumb.

The only way these players are going to get noticed is if his team goes deep into the playoffs and/or do well against the competition.

Example: Pesa the LB from Kahukus 2015 championship team got his college offer after they won the title. Stokes and Codie on this years team have no offers but if they win the title again im sure they will get an offer.

Example: Nick Kapule (QB Punahou) had no offers until after performing well in the ILH this season and now has 1 offer.

ILH sports parents pay big money for tuition and expect the private schools to put their “elite” kids in the best situations as possible. Do you now see why Iolani is guaranteed a post season seed, and they finally got their 2nd ILH team into the Open division?

I can tell you something right now that is not sitting well with the ILH crowd:
They are being shown-up by a poor lowly public school (Kahuku)

Kahuku – 9 kids with offers, defending state champs
St. louis – 5 kids with offers
Punahou – 5 kids with offers

…all these excuses about blow-outs and injuries as the reason to change format and re-align are somewhat credible but not as big a reason as the lack of scholarships that the ILH cant get to their athletes.

A lot of these “sports parents” think their kids gotta go private school to get offered. Lol.
Good Grades start at home with the parents stressing education & hard work on & off the field. These days good showings at camps & clinics will get you offered (SolJay Maiava) prime example. It’s out there Kids, you just have to want it bad enough!!

Will probably be 10-12 be January.

Guess being recruited by ILH is not always needed to get a free college education.

Homegrown.

That’s where all the top Kahuku players have gone throughout the years. Pisa Finai, Pulusiga Filiaga, Brad and Robert Anae, Lakei Heimuli, Itula MIli, Mark Atuaia, Tevita Ofahangue.
