Congrats! More great news for the local gridiron boys. UVA is a great academic school and Kahuku is showing everyone that elite athletic HS programs and a great education can go hand in hand. I signed up to be a ref just recently and hope to contribute to our youth in that way. Never played HS sports but was told at registration and on this board that it isn’t a problem. Anyone else who is interested should check it out.

Great Stuff! Love to read these types of stories. This article is for the boy. But since you put yourself out there, 1) Let the kids play. 2) Make sure you hold yourself, and your fellow colleagues accountable. Tired of seeing inconsistencies, and you all walk off with your pay checks. I don’t care if its peanuts, you sign up, do it right! This is part of the territory, best of luck with it…

BYU Head coach Kalani Sitake is doing a good job with the program going into his second year, he has strong Laie/ Kahuku ties. Ex-BYU coaches currently on staff at Virginia, OC Robert Anae and RB coach Mark Atuaia are former Kahuku Red Raider stars. Sometimes young men want to travel even further from home.
