Probably not. I believe their next SBAC scores will come out in April/May of his sophomore year. I just hope that Coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t do this as a publicity stunt.

I am not putting the kids. My comments are directed solely at the adults and parents in this community. You have such passion for football, but do not show that same passion for your children’s academics.

I understand it’s easier to be passionate and jump on the bandwagon for a successful program such as your football team.

But what happens for the hundreds and thousands of kids who won’t continue playing football after their walk down that aisle during graduation? What happens then?

You guys can keep sending the insults. You can keep making up those excuses. You can keep making football the #1 priority. You can keep blogging instead of tutoring. I am not the one who is limiting their children’s opportunities.

Keep it coming. With every insult, you are just weakening your child’s future.

What amazes me that these test scores are so bad at Kahuku that I actually think the entire population should move to Special Education. But instead of working with their kids, parents, such as anywaays, RR4L, TooMeke, 88, 87, 62, 44, 75, and the rest of the Kahuku Welfare Nation, would rather blog than work with their kids.

There is no complaints. When St. Louis smashes Punahou again the state will make their assumptions. And it should be clear that the strength of schedule week in & week out can separate the strong from the week.

My beef is “how do you talk smack about being good at something (football), when the main reason you go to school is to learn how to read, write, and count. And by looking at the test scores, it is abysmal.

If I was a parent, I would not be the one confronting Coach Torres since he wanted to create higher standards and benchmarks for academics. I wouldn’t be confronting Coach Akina since he “allegedly” ran plays for his sons.

They should use their efforts, have a town hall meeting and figure out how to shift the focus from football/sports to the classroom.

The kids fail in this community because the focus is incorrect. They value the wrong things. And their comeback is something like “we have the most NFL Football Players in the NFL.”

True, but what about the other 99.5%of kids that will not get to college on a D1 offer or make it to the NFL.
