@Dafun, you got some nerve calling teams that Kahuku played ‘Little’ Mililani, Waianae and Campbell all have great teams. As for York and his comment to one of our coaches, (directed at Coach Sterling) that was unprofessional. But, had the roles been reversed he woulda’ done the same thing (Run up the score) The game is 48 minutes long and thats what Kahuku played (48 minutes). It was Mililani who gave up except for a few of them. I think Mililani is an outstanding team with outstanding players, but it just happened Kahuku had a much bigger reason to bring that WIN home for Coach Dave (Coach Matt and Coach Maui) who passed on. Give credit where credit is due and stop putting our boys down. So much talent in our small state, can’t we just rally for all of them no matter what team they play for or what team you root for. Kahuku is my Alma Mater c/o ‘89 so fine We are FAMILY, not just fans or friends and we support our players…win or lose! #KaHuKuReDRaiDeRS #RR4L #WeaReFaMiLY

The 1st and 2nd quarter? The first 5 or so penalty’s of the game was called against Kahuku. When grabbing a receiver before the ball is even thrown his way is legal than you have case to argue. Watch the game buddy before you comment.

Let be honest about the penalties. In a close game, the white hat can make the difference. Many of the calls in the First Quarter and early Second had a significant effect against the Trojans. Notice how the penalties lessen when the score widen. In 2007, Leilehua won the State Football Championship with an unknown JV quarterback name Andrew Manley. He marched 70 yards for the winning touchdown in the dying moments of the game against St. Louis, all on penalties called by one white hat name Beaver. Mr Beaver did this in several other championship games against the ILH. He had the biggest grind when the crowds cheered. Referees matter! Honest

RR defense has issues. DLINE too small and cant penetrate, Mililani was man handling them and the Millz QB had all day to pass. Linebackers also too weak to close the gaps. #10 LB for RR is legit D1 prospect but I wasnt impressed with anyone else on Kahukus defense, dbs not as fast as years past.

Mililani exposed a lot of holes on Kahukus D that were not known in previous easier games. I bet Cal Lee is already drawing up plans to attack Kahukus D.

@Hoku, you do realize that those penalties you’re mentioning were legitimate right? On those same drives you mentioned, the refs also missed a couple of PI calls against the Trojans. There is a rule against breaking an offensive huddle with more than 11 players, but as far as i know, nothing about an 11th player coming on the field late.

But like you, can’t wait for the rematch either. Could very well be a different result later down the road. However, this is probably the best D since 2015 and the O is much for complex than what it has been since probably 2010. Score might be closer, but Big Red still comes out with the W.

@hoku don’t act like Kahuku didn’t have any penalties we had a lot to where Mililani could come back but no they couldnt because they were getting there @$$&**& handded to them.

When the game was 6-6 , 4th and 12 , Mililani stops Kahuku , turnover on downs , opportunity for Trojans take lead , but wait , penalty , gives Kahuku new set of downs inside the 20 , they score 13-6 . Next drive , Kahuku 4th and 3 own 45 yard line , they go for it , clearly stopped half yard short , Mililani sideline judge marks it short and says turnover on downs , but wait Kahuku sideline judge moves the ball up a yard and gives a first down , not mention not even a measure , but didn’t have to measure , it was clearly turnover on downs . Same drive , Kahuku reciever , comes from the sidelines right before play , so he’s uncovered , touchdown Kahuku , supposed to be illegal participation and a 15 yard penalty . That’s the momentum changers right there. I hate to blame refs , but this was very obvious . Can’t wait to see the rematch .
